Peter Bell to be football operations manager. I know he might polarise some, but we are currently going through a blanket Weagles coverage for their success in making a GF. And, if they win, the blanket will be covered by a blizzard of Weagles news. I'm over it. I want whoever comes in to bring a premiership to Freo and I'll accept anyone who wants to do it.

I like Peter Bell, I think in time he'll be a very good football manager but we're at a crisis point and we hire a bloke with no experience and no qualifications. We don't have time for him to learn how to be the football manager.

Completely unprofessional by the club.

I laugh at those who think Bell won't be another 'yes' man. How do you think he got on the board in the first place?! Another former player groomed by the club administration to stop an actual member occupying one of the so called member elected board positions.

Bell was instrumental in changing Freo to be 'OOFTIT lite' as he hated the club colours and jumper and was all for getting rid of them. He wanted the club to be more corporate and like the OOFTIT's.

Add to that he has no experience in the role and I can see this being a lot more of the same, another Steve.

Freo keeping it the family. Wouldn't want any interlopers with muscle, cred and ability coming in telling them their Top Men are the reason we're on the bottom.

Bell might be competent. But I don't think he's going to change anything they don't want changing. He backed the whole rebrand, remember.
