Don't quote me on this but I think Taberner covers more km's in a game than McCarthy. He leads a long way up the ground, and often.

I know Cox lead a game in Km's travelled this season which is more of a reflection of the heavy workload set on forwards in a RL coached side to run into defence and sprint back to the forward line to present again when we win the ball.

That's one reason our forwards look buggered all the time and miss some tired shots at goal. Adding Lobb in place of McCarthy increases the workload of Cox and Tabs in that respect.

Cox is 193 cm, 20 years old, and not tearing the place apart. Something's wrong, ditch him.

This is part of the instant fix short term thinking, aka, nothinking. The question we should be asking: is he on track to reach a high level by the age of 24. For those not mathematically inclined that's in four years time. Is he putting in the work? Is he making targets? Ask the coaches.

Cox definitely worth persisting with. Which part of the ground will he settle into is the unknown. Would he fit into a defensive role? Can he improve his kicking (Pearce as well)?
