Love Australian Rules football.
The basics of why the game is great has been disintegrating over the past twenty years.
Two changes would fix what they are trying to achieve.
Go back to 4 players on the bench and if a player comes off he's off.
Plus the make the quarters shorter.
Some of WAFL games have been 35 minutes and AFL going over 30 minutes.
Make that three changes. If a player go's off with a blood rule get him off the closest boundary and a player can come straight on. It's a boring part of the game watching a player walking towards the interchange with a grazed knee and holding up the game.
And we need more umpires lol.

It's a professional game now, where football departments push athletes' effort, often past the point of breakdown.
Zones and reduced rotations would not reduce the blight of spiralling injury rates, but it would mitigate the worst unwatchable congestion and open the game up. It needs to be more of a spectacle

With 6-6-6 it will probably turn into Wafl 2.0, spectators will hate the game and boycott in droves.
The only thing I think they should consider out of 6-6-6 is 6. That is the 6 in the forward line as it's always the forward line getting sucked into the back line. When the back line get sucked up the ground they always tend to structure up well in midfield to form a quick rebound.

it’s only at centre bounces.. occasionally someone will start with an extra back but not very often.. I suppose that extra will just start right on the fifty and run in once it’s bounced.. can’t really see it changing anything really
