I've never really been persuaded by the 'not mucking about with the game' argument. Coaches muck around with it all the time. Most of the time intent of the league seems to be to return the game to something that looks like football, albeit the execution could be better.
People have spent all season bemoaning the fact Lyon only starts 5 men forward (albeit there is less complaint about Hardwick doing exactly the same thing). I thought you'd be happy if someone forced his hand.
I'm not fussed either way about the 6-6-6. I reckon runners can get stuffed entirely. I also reckon there are too many score reviews, so I'd get rid of posters and have goals count if they hit the post on the way through (it would also technically increase scoring, which would make the advertisers happy).
But then I'd probably also go down to 16 players a side, so I'm definitely in the interventionist camp with these things.
