Dare I say it, the game has GAWN pass Clarko. Premiership window slammed shut.

Melbourne have a genuine feel of awesomeness about them right now and have a good shot of beating West Coast over here.

My god what have I done.

Simmo and Sam Mitchell would have to throw the Clarko’s game plan out the window to beat Melbourne. That Jack Viney bloke goes alright.

So the door closes on Clarkson? Oh well at least it was open enough to make him one of the greats of modern times.

And then there's Roly the also ran who will be remembered for, well not much really.

Other then the 2008 premiership, the players that helped him win the others most are from other clubs. Gunston, Frawley, Josh Gibson, Lake, McKevoy, Burgoyne. And says he’ll continue to add to the list via FA. He tried the Mitchell and O’Meara trick this year but nekminit. The days of Hawthorn being a destination club are over. I think Kennett will be putting the heat on Clarko to move on. They got smashed tonight playing the Clarko game plan. But I’ll listen to more of your stance with anticipation and have a little giggle.

While you're giggling, jezza, just keep remembering that Clarkson has achieved so much more than your hero, Roly.

Add to that, he conducted a rebuild without needing to bottom out for 3 or 4 years and puit his club back into premiership contention.

I know who would be regarded as the better coach.

Oh and you're not the only person giggling. Most people would be giggling at what you post but the rest would be just shaking their heads in disbelief. Roly still got you on his speed dial does he?

Hawks managed to get all those players on the cheap, and Clarkson set up a game plan to win with them. THAT is why he had so much success. He did not recruit those players for what they showed, then try to change what they did.

We are good at offering those "past their prime" a spot to see out their later years, let's grab Clarko and show him some love. I'm sure Kennett and the Hawks will jump at a straight swap for the "Master Coach of The Century" Lyon

Good old Jezza the one trick pony. Loves quoting who other clubs get in and then of course achieve better than we do, but fails to mention who we have brought in whilst achieving nothing during the same period.

Hawks-Gunston, Frawley, Gibson, Lake, McKevoy, Burgoyne, Mitchell and O’Meara

Fremantle-Anthony, Dawson, Pearce, Gumbleton, Bradley, Sylvia, Hill, McCarthy, Kersten, Wilson, Hamling and Matera

Never let the facts get in the way when you're busy giggling.

No Gumnut. I guess some get it right more often than others, but some also don't want to recognise that.

Hawthorn had some critical outs yesterday that would have pushed Melbourne closer.
As a club in rebuild, they are acheiving far better than Fremantle in the last year or two. Good skills and balanced list management forms a big part of that.

Very true Capt. Both sides had big outs. Melbourne with two key positional players in Hogan and Lever.
Hawthorn had their best lock down backman in Stratton out and their 2nd best midfielder in O'Meara out, plus Mitchell who would be in the top 5 midfielders in the game and favourite for the Brownlow carrying a shoulder injury form very early in the game.

Interesting how someone who claims that Hawthorn and their coach aren't any good fails to take other teams injuries into account but is always quick to use any of our injuries as an excuse.
