I can just see Hogan, Apeness, Mc Carthy, Tabs, Cox and Dixon all lumbering at 3 knots around our forward line. All taking pot shots at goal at 41% efficiency. No thanks.
We dont need another key forward type, we need dead eye dicks, one mid sized speedster and a lightning quick crumber and a coaching epiphany.

Agree . It took Melb 12 years to get the right coaching nous to get the Demons playing finals footy. That’s not what the mob on this site wants. Get rid of Roly and we’ll be in the GF next year.

Bloody hell Jezza has back-flipped again. He loves a good prediction. So new coach and a premiership next year it is, otherwise if we keep Roly we have to wait until the year after.

Yep, Hogan can run. Wonder if he has endurance...a big midfielder maybe? He is no taller than Cripps...or Mundy.

I’m hoping young Weids has another blinder tonight and send off Clarko into wondering what went wrong with his so called rebuild in 9 months. And this: Re : Melbourne “It’s about 10 flags in 25 years between ’39 and ’64 — none since.

Who would have thought that would be our last. Fifty-three years of pain. It has been a bleak and excruciating wait. A build-up of misery and corroded faith that’s wormed its way off the field, and into the psyche of our supporters.“

That’s what I called a slow rebuild. Go Demons.

You being jealous of the Hawks ability to rebuild and give themselves another chance at a premiership by finishing in the top 4 again does not change if they lose tonight. Neither does it change RL's inability to rebuild a side.
Nathan: When did you get balls?
Simon: I've always had balls you've just never seen them.
Nathan: That's the gayest thing I've ever heard.

Hope Weidemann has a great final series for lots of reasons. This gives us a real shot at Hoges.
This is my wish: Hoges and Kelly.
Likely: Lobb.
More than likely: Neale to Brisbane and we get their first and second picks. I hope.

Clarko and the Hawks have made free agency a rort. Other then Buddy and Roughy oh and Cyril, many moons ago, they’ve made the FA model a highly contentious issue that most clubs now like Geelong are emulating. Let’s not bring Roly into this, that’s not my intention in this instance, but to see a club like Melb, toiled through the hardships, the answer to winning a premiership isn’t always an easy one. And further more, I think they’ve got a better chance of beating the Slime, next week.

jezza, thats complete nonsense.

The Hawks haven't made the FA model into a contentious issue. They've managed it better than most but there is nothing contentious about what they've done. They've lost players as well but they have demonstrated that they are well managed and know how to manage a list.

Don't go trying to say that what have done is somehow unfair just because we don't do that as well as they do. A smart person would try to copy how they go about things.

Also the reference to Roly is highly applicable especially as many on here would question the need to bottom out so badly when other clubs prove that it isn't needed.

As usual, and even without bringing Lyon and Freo into it, Jezza, you are getting a few miles ahead of yourself. Melbourne winning a flag, without cheating the system, and doing the 58+ year rebuild. They have not won the flag yet Jezza, like Lyon, they are flag virgins in this rebuild. Settle down old son.

I follow a fair bit of Rugby League as well, and by god it Smells like Manly, the days when they bought a premiership.
