Just for comparison sake because you're talking a lot of rubbish to make RL look better, Simpson took over the OOFTIT's when they finished 13th and moved them up to 9th in his first season. They then finished second, losing a GF to the Hawks as we did before finishing 7th, 6th and now at least third with a chance at a premiership.
RL on the other hand took a side from an injury riddled 10th to 6th, 2nd, 6th and then third before falling off a cliff to 16th, 14th and 14th. They are almost identical form lines except RL took over a statistically and in every sense better side to achieve those results.
If Simpson were to lose every game for the next 12 months, he'd still be on par with RL statistically. As much as I'd love it, I can't see them falling off a cliff next season or any time soon and we don't look to be making any real improvements to be moving in the other direction just yet so those records will likely go in opposite directions making Simpson a clearly statistically better coach if you didn't think so already.
