Having Franklin didn't help Sydney.

Biz, you study things closely, could you do a for/against percentage table for finals over the last 15 years? I think you would find the teams with the highest percentage in the Home & Away season will have the Highest percentage in the finals, and by a similar ratio. And can you email the results direct to Lyon and Jezza.

Jezza
The results are irrelevant. Sydney recruited Buddy on the premise that he’ll help deliver their next premiership. Nekminit, he’s running out of time to fulfill his hefty contract status. The game, and Rich have proved it, if you bring your manic pressure, anyone in your forward 50, can bag a few snags. The game has evolved boys, move with the times. If you defend well behind the ball, and supply your forwards with ample opportunities, wowsers. Collingwood defended well for three and a bit quarters but I think Jetta’s goal broke the camels back. For most of it JK and Darling were useless. Select another key forward at this year’s draft and we would have wasted picking up another Dustin Martin.

The Swans made and lost 2 Grand Finals after getting Buddy so by your RL logic where winning GF's doesn't matter, he is a raging success.

There's a lot more to Richmond's game plan than a bunch of smalls and Jack Reiwoldt is a huge part of it that you want to ignore. Would they have won anything if they didn't pick him up as a young KPF in the first round a decade ago? No, they wouldn't.

You mean the OOFTIT's were no good while their KPF's were doing nothing then won the game as Kennedy and Darling fired in the final quarter? You're arguing against yourself.

Select another Aaron Fiora and we would have missed the next Matthew Pavlich. Select another Richard Tambling and we would have missed the next Buddy Franklin...
Nathan: When did you get balls?
Simon: I've always had balls you've just never seen them.
Nathan: That's the gayest thing I've ever heard.

"Sydney recruited Buddy on the premise that he’ll help deliver their next premiership Nekminit, he’s running out of time to fulfill his hefty contract status."

As usual you can't even see the hypocrisy of what you say. Substitute Roly's name for Buddy's and you have exactly the same scenario.

And remind me again why the hell we ever recruited that Pavlich bloke.

So really what you’re saying Yeti and CA, that one key forward will do the trick. There you have it. We’ve got 3, we’re trying to develop, in Tabs, Cox and Cammac. Dixon is looking alright. Why pick up another with your pick 5, when he’ll be behind those 3 for a couple of years. Pav is a generational player. Riewoldt have been in the system for a decade and finally.......I’m not seeing the worth of a high draft pick in a key forward this year. I’d much rather bring home Hogan if indeed we’re looking to replace our currency key forwards. Drafting high quality mids is the way of the world.

Again jezza, you have to make up stuff to be able to argue in favour of your failed love child.

I'll use small words for you. It will take more than one key forward to win a flag. Its going to take a coach and a game plan that knows how to use one. If we get the next Buddy, then we will need to get somebody who won't play him across the half back line like Roly has with Tabs all too often.

Bring home Hogan? He doesn't want to be here. He's knocked us back every time and he's moved his mum to Melbourne. Why would he dump a side that is looking to play finals for a side where it's own president has admitted he expects us not to be playing finals.

I'm sure you don't see the worth of a KPP. Neither does Roly but successful coaches can see the value in them and I'd prefer to go along with successful coaches, not perennial failures

I like the way Tabs has developed. Cox, already showing signs of a presence with his contested marking and I’ve got no doubt, Cammac will pay us back in spades. I wouldn’t be jettisoning Hogan out of our 2020 plans just yet. I haven’t done a forensic analysis like you have Bizkit, on this year’s draft pool. It’s because your the DL guru. But I like to chuckle now and then.

Corporal Agarn
Our currency key forwards.HaHa. And what currency would they hold? Zimbabwean dollars? What sort of draft picks do you seriously think we would get if we traded them.

And of course you then contradict yourself again by saying we should target Hogan when you've just said that we should only draft midfielders.

Jezza
If we want a key forward trade for Hoges. I’m inclined to pick up the next Fyfe, Martin, you get my drift . Can’t be anymore clearer then that. Unlike many I’m not into bagging people for their deficiencies. Simmo is a different cat.

Corporal Agarn
You're not into bagging people for their deficiencies................. but a couple hours ago you ranted on like this.

I don’t rate Simpson.

I’d say Simmo will be remembered as “close but no cigar”

(the point being with those two comments is that it's how some people feel about Lyon, but that can't be considered as bagging either)

JK and Darling were useless.

Riewoldt have been in the system for a decade and finally...

Here's some stats to show that you're talking out of the wrong end again with regards to Reiwoldt.

Jezza, the difference between the Tigers and Freo, is that the Tigers run to attack and score goals, and Freo run to defend and prevent goals being scored, no amount of midfielders is going to help us score more goals than the Tigers unless things change. Stop, look around and then sit down in your study and rewatch the Freo and Tigers games of the last 3 years and you will be enlightened.
