Didn’t know there was a crisis that only sweeping changes would fix it. We are 3 years into a rebuild, 2 drafts into a list overhaul and since 2016, no where near winning a wooden spoon. Alcock stated an obvious review to injuries and the gap between our best and worse footy. I’m comfortable about where we’re at though I do think that in 2019 it’s finals or bust. That was my prediction this year but I’m a patient beast.

That was a fun article wasn't it.

Here we have a president telling us that we are on track but can point to absolutely nothing to justify that statement. He 'hopes' to have more wins next year and smaller gap between our best and our worst. Hopes.

Meanwhile, the AFL clubs that are run by people who know what they are doing don't do stupid stuff like a 50% list turnover in 3 years. Don't do stuff like trade out mature players and trade in mature players and call it a rebuild. They don't do things like spend multiple years at the bottom of the ladder and 'hope' things will get a bit better next year. He also indicated that he didn't expect finals next year. Wow, 2020 will be a world record turn around.

Alcock clearly has no idea. The club is being run into the ground on his watch and he's cheering on the process

I found this a tad disappointing. Whether he believes it or not I would have liked him to com out and say the head coach, the other coaches, medical staff and board are all useless and should be replaced and the club is going nowhere for the benefit of Dockerlanders.
