That comment on speed surprised me: the Hills, Blakely, Logue, Wilson, Langdon, Brayshaw and Switowski all have good speed.

Cox, Matera, Mundy, Fyfe and Neale don't but they have other attributes. Well Matera.....

How bout he gets the positional blend right?

He needs someone fast, who can run all day, plays tall and small, has excellent skills and can play any position but doesn't mind being made to play as a defensive forward pocket across the centre line.

Blakely, Logue and Brayshaw have speed? When will see it? Other attributes sure but speed isn't one of them.

Active in the trade period. None of those names out of contract will be of interest to other clubs and we really don't want the rumours of Brad Hill leaving to be true. Plus we have virtually no picks.

I read that article and it looks like its bear season again.

Don't look at where we played blokes out of position, don't look at our skills and the the fact that we miss targets by hand and foot, don't look at our fairly poor record of keeping blokes on the park, now just blame it all on speed

At which point of this does anybody actually get held accountable for their performance?

Any predictions for next year's bear? Height? Man buns?

Second thoughts on his call for multi positional players with speed and skills, I'm pretty sure that he's not going to find too many Pavlichs out at pick 90 or whatever. Maybe he could try upskilling the blokes that we already have. A bit like the sort of thing successful coaches do. Just a thought.

I think Roly has finally got onto what I’ve been suggesting for years. Draft in 192+ cm mids with the ability to play anywhere. You blokes should just take away the blinkers. If we had 22 Fyfe’s, we wouldn’t be in this predicament. I hope we use our first pick on another midfielder.

If our mids kicked to the advantage of our forwards, and our forwards led to the advantage of our mids, we wouldn't need extra speed to stop the inevitable counter attack.

Makes you wonder if instead of backs, mids and forward coaches, we would be better off with a backs-mids coach, and a mids-forwards coach.
