It will be interesting to see how Fremantle respond this weekend. As interesting as a final round game can be when your season has been over for three months anyway. Last week was technically Fremantle’s worst but it was just one in a long line of disastrous losses and to me they have all blended into one another over the years. I know it’s not fashionable to dwell on things like terrible losses these days in sporting organisations and the focus is much more on ‘looking forward’ but I definitely get the feeling these kind of thrashing’s don’t ‘hurt’ as much as they should to the Fremantle players and administration.
The club has a myriad of problems but I still think the biggest problem all along has been cultural. Everyone knows what to say afterwards, but I think they stopped believing it a long time ago.
