Jezza, all those trades happened so many years ago its not funny.

What we are actually paying for now is the three card con conducted in the last 3 off seasons that allows Roly to escape scrutiny by hiding behind a so called rebuild. Turning over as many players as possible with no recruitment or development strategy isn't a rebuild. Its a scapegoat.

Over to you to tell us all how a dog's breakfast is suddenly going to turn into a smorgasbord of football success.

Thats a nice way of looking at it KK. Yes, we have a lot of upside in those players, even Sheridan. Although Mundy may have to do Leigh Matthews and play out his career relying on one on one strength in the forward pocket.

RR, if we had a coach of Mathews intelligence, Mundy would have been doing that for the last 2 years, but given the running requirements of our forward line, and the continued selection of effort players over skilled players, he has been forced to play in the midfield.
Remember when Fyfe (MARK II) burst on the scene, and many thought "Wow, he can dominate the game for the next 10 years as a CHF in the Hird mould? But because the Lyon game plan does not suit that type of attacking strategy, and he needs Fyfe to create opportunities from the stoppages he loves to create, it has never been an option.

So the club bringing in a bunch of middle aged players in the past to top up when we thought we were able to challenge for a premiership is not committing to a rebuild Jezza?

How about all the middle aged players like B Hill, Hamling, Wilson, Matera, Kersten, McCarthy over the past 2 years? Or your desperation to trade our 19yo ruckman for a 25yo cats midfielder? You must be outraged at the lack of commitment to the current rebuild?

The side Hawthorn had when Matthews became a forward and the side we have now that could allow either Fyfe or Mundy to play as a permanent forward are like chalk and cheese.

Premiership side vs making up the numbers.

Take either of those two out of the middle and we've only really got Neale to get it out of a stoppage.

CA, Blakely is the player to go into the guts, he has good hands, good mark overhead and like Mundy and Fyfe seems to find space in congestion, which Neale doesn't. Like Neale and Fyfe however, his field kicking is not always the best. The player he reminds me of most is a Haselby without the lamb chops appetite.

I like that graphic too KK and I hope your right but you could probably do a similar graph for other teams like Brisbane who I can see going straight past us. I see us beating Carlton and Gold Coast and I can't guarantee much beating much else.. We finish down the bottom next year and pick up a whole lot more talented kids. Then in a couple of years we will be pretty exciting. Thats how I see it. I think people have already got inpatient with a re-build which will take quite a bit more time in my eyes.

Detox, you’ve been intoxicated by the our regular Roly bashers. Keep reminding yourself about positive reinforcement. It’ll change your life. Every club in the AFL will have a change in fortunes every coming season. This view of condemning Freo’s outlook is more disliking the people who’s in charge. The view is there’ll be a review, a stringent one. This time next year, we’ve got as much chance of making the 8 as all the 18 teams. Not many picked the eagles to make the 8, me included. Sides like Collingwood basically gave Buckley one last hurrah, and as for Melbourne, it’s taken them 12 years. Port went and got Rocky and co, Adelaide were GF last year, and the Bombers were finals material after their off season get. I think it’s clear, there’s no team guaranteed a finals spot and plenty has got to be right. And the reality is there’s only one winner every year. It’s back to the drawing board for the other 17 teams.
