Maybe not sure - I think you are projecting your feelings on to other clubs.
I was genuinely disappointed with his press conference.
The comment about he had no issue with the skill base of the players is totally incredulous.
The skills are atrocious and his comments of defending them are outrageous and certainly explains why we are were we are.
He could of defended his team mates by simply saying we are working on them and they are are a work in progress.
Total bs.

As I said previously I agree that he is easily our best player. That cannot be doubted but I can't see how anyone here could know whether he was our best leader or not unless they are part of the inner Freo sanctum or know someone that plays for the club.

For what it’s worth Cotchin, Murphy and in recent times Pendlebury and Boak were all taken to task about their captaincy when things got wobbly. I rate Fyfe better than those 4 mentioned and he’ll go down as the best captain in Freo’s history. You blokes have no idea who you’re taking aim at. Now let’s just get back on topic.

I'm not saying to replace him but there's a little bloke wearing the number 27 who is usually the one to show leadership and lift us over the line as he did against Carlton last week. Always the quiet achiever Lachie would make an outstanding skipper.

Boy, who needs enemies when you have friends/supporters like some of you. Lots of questions and very few answers!
Stupid comments regarding best players not being captains, sacking the coach, CEO, president and Bond, not necessarily wrong as individuals but the lot? And nowhere is there a suggestion as to who we would replace them with.
This situation needs a lot of consideration not visible to emotive supporters . I am not happy with Rosich, Lyon or Bond but unless we have a pathway to replace them we will not have success. Who the hell would you Fyfe haters have as Captain? Was Pav a great Captain? Have we ever had one? Do you have to be popular? We were a rabble on the weekend and time is the best healer or a massive lift in intensity.
What would I suggest? A thorough review of all aspects of the club by highly respected and successful football identities. And take a deep breath!

Ok Chief - I applaud the sentiment.

Tell me honestly though - do you think there will be a thorough and independent review of the club at all levels by respected football experts?

Is there anything in the past behaviour of this executive and board to suggest that that is anything more than a complete flight of fancy?

Ok chief,

I think its fair enough that people raise questions about where we are heading. Unless you are completely satisfied with where are, then questions are reasonable. I'm not satisfied with where we are.

The questions of Bond's suitability are not new. They've been raised before and not addressed by the club. The questions over Roly's suitability are also not new and they won't go away in a hurry. They are also questions the club should be evaluating each year. Thats called due diligence.

I also think you trundled right off the deep end. Because some have questioned whether Fyfe is a great player and a great leader or a great player, now makes us 'Fyfe haters'? Really? Not a chance of having a sensible discussion when you over reach that badly.

As a matter of fact, Pavlich was a great captain and a strong leader and it showed.

As for your suggestion of a thorough review, thats exactly what most on here have called for had you taken the time to read the comments rather than marshalling your outrage first. That review should have been done prior to this but the person who should be one of the major focuses of that review has been the one performing them, which casts doubt on their value.

OK, who'll do a review? Highly respected brownlow medallist Brad Hardie? Someone from the WAFC? You think the FFC would let anyone? They're not under an obligation to submit any such thing. So it won't happen

They'll do it internally, and everything will be found to be tickety boo. With a few tweaks to personnel that don't threaten the positions of Bond, Rosich or Lyon.

Anyone would be better than Rosich and Bond, no-one would be better than them. As for Lyon, I would be talking to Hodge, Caracella, Longmuir and Sumich. That is for starters. OK, they are all too inexperienced to coach an AFL side. Ring Mark Williams and Neesham, I am sure we could come to some arrangement with one of them, and get one of them in as Coaching mentor.

Did Fyfe say he can't promise there won't be more tough times ahead.
That's OK as I am not happy with my seats so there will be plenty of options to change.

Was Pav a great captain???

Is that a serious question? Whoever takes the mantle of Freo's best ever captain from Pav will have to be a goddamn superhero. Fyfe is an exceptional player (aside from his wonky goal-kicking) but he is yet to grow into anything like the captain Pav was. He may yet, but thus far his tendency to be - as Morgan likes to put it - "a bit of a flog" is getting in the way. The other players obviously respect him enough to vote him into the role but he occasionally shows himself to be a bit tone-deaf and lacking in humility, something The Pav had in spades and which was one of the attributes we all loved him for.

Hopefully Fyfe learns to think a little less highly of himself and proves me wrong.

I think the board, of which Belly is a member, would have their prints all over Roly’s tenure. So, if you want Rosich, Bond to go as well as Roly, then the Board needs an upheaval as well. This reminds me at what happened to Rich post 2016 season. I’m with OK Chief, take a chill pill. There’s no crisis here. It’s one game in isolation. The alternative is to throw everyone out including the board and start from scratch. Some of you blokes are clearly way out of your comfort zone.

So Fyfe said our skills weren't an issue?

I probably agree with him. The thing about playing badly is that you are constantly under pressure and everything you do is rushed. When your team plays better, you have more time. You keep the chain of handballs going until the guy who finally kicks it is in the clear. More than that, you actually manage to get it to your designated kickers. Look at WC coming out of defence. How often does the final kick end up with Hearne or Jetta? Or worse still to a running Masten...

So yes, if you can't string together 6 handpasses under pressure (and we have trouble with that), then the last bloke will kick it badly. Maybe what Roly means by "spread" is the ability to end up getting the ball to someone with the time and space to do something good with it (S Hill or Wilson). Anyway, if by skills you mean clean hands under pressure - then yes, I agree with you.
