If your point is that RoLy should be under as much pressure and scrutiny as Hardwick was at that time, I think there will be plenty of people that agree.
If you are suggesting that miracles do occur and we ignore the other 90% of similar scenarios that point to teams who are in a mess in order to suggest we are ok, then you are dreaming.
I’m sure we have some better days ahead of us, but being flogged by 130+ isn’t a good thing!

Pretty sure Hardwick was emptying out his locker then. He started his head coaching job in 2010. So Hardwick can consider himself lucky that DL are not calling the shots.

It's pretty well known that Hardwick was stiffed in his first years in the job. At his interview he told the board that the Tiges needed a root and branch rebuild. He was hired on this premise. Then the board got cold feet and for the first years backtracked and made him soften the rebuild by keeping certain players in the name of winning enough games to keep pressure off the board. When that became untenable he was allowed to do what he was hired to do. The results followed from there.

If you want to look for hope in the statistics - we had more record losses in 2000 than we did in 2001 and then there was a big improvement in 2002. We had more record losses in 2017 than we've had in 2018.

Of course, there were personal changes between 2001 and 2002 that there won't be for 2019.
