I keep hearing about how much players love Roly. I've especially heard how much the St Kilda players liked him but that was a loooong time ago in football history.
I remember him getting emotional at a Doig presentation when we had given Barlow, De Boer, Mzungu and Mayne the boot.**
I also remember Barlow and Menegola commenting on new freedoms in game style when they left Freo. Maybe sour grapes?
Are there any articles though in recent times how the players are behind him or articles about how they like his game plans and style that is expected? Surely that effort and nine 50+ losses in a season shows there is something wrong between coach, expectations and player commitment.

**I get bloody emotional about that too considering what we got for them, except Mayne, and how easily they would slot into our side now.

Dockerlanders - i think that we were deficient in talent and experience relative to Geelong and playing away at an unfamiliar ground and this reasonably accounts for the result. I don't think you can prove it is Roly's doing.

No Sandi. Give it a break. He hasn't played more than half a season for the last three years and he's 37! Next you'll be saying how bad it's been without Bennell. Oh and by the way, Fyfe has played in a good number of those nine 50pt plus hammerings this year including yesterday.

Yeah Prince, talk him up all you want but we had 20 wins in our last 68 games or another way of looking at it is we've had 48 losses in our last 68 games.

So Roly has had a lot of failure in his career. A lot of sustained failure, giving fair evidence he's just not that good.

Added in his performance yesterday where he alternated between finding excuses for poor performance, most of which didn't add up and mocking the journos as a way of avoiding answering the harder questions. If he had the answers, he wouldn't need to behave so poorly.

Its pretty clear, he doesn't have the answers. Its been clear for a while now and its only blind support thats kept him in his job. Eventually, that will dissipate
