Working on the assumption that MJ will not be playing next year, I for one hope he holds his place for the remainder of the season. Not only would it be a fitting way to end his career, his last couple of games have been good enough to keep his spot. While fitness may be an issue, he seems to make time whenever he gets the ball and has a great capacity to make the right decisions. As one of our greatest indigenous players he has made the most of his opportunities. It will be fitting to see him finish off as a deserving member of the team rather than a charitable inclusion.

Agree, but stationary bronze statues are so 20th Century. I reckon the Johnno statute should be a life-size replica of Johnno pointing outside the Optus Stadium bus stand, and when you ask him where your bus leaves from, he points in the right direction.

Unless you are an Eagles supporter, and instead he just gives you the finger.

I'd volunteer to operate this statue for free.
