Explain it to me, they have experienced an exodus similar to ours and they are in premiership caculations this year . They have lost Lake, Rioli, Hodge, Lewis, Mitchell and a host of other lesser experienced players. How have they stayed up? You telling me it's free agency?

It's cause of Frawley, Mitchell and O'Mera is it?

They are back in it after scaling way higher than us and we haven't finished free falling.

The only way we can convince them to come to us is by paying over the odds and I’m not too keen on players coming to us for the cash - it’s hardly a motivation that brings out the best in a player once you get them.

Fyfe, Neale, Mundy, Sandilands, Walters, both Hills, Ballantyne and Hamling is a premiership player too.

So that's close to nine players in grand final or premiership teams, Flag 2005. But we are losing by 12 goals a game and they might win another one.

I'm not complaining were not Hawthorn but this massive gap has to mean something.

I dunno if that's it, it seems to me they keep making good calls. And our plight is on the back of a critical mass of bad calls.

The clubs from similar positions are poles apart. They benefited from free agency but we've had three picks inside ten in two years.....
