Having just listened to Angus Brayshaw on the AFL Exchange podcast (episode 20) and thinking ahead - whilst looking for a silver lining - is the following scenario worth pursuing from a club perspective?
1. Docker’s seek a trade for Hamish Brayshaw from Weak Coast on the basis his relationship with them is untenable after their appalling handling of the assault on his brother.
2. The other brother, Will, decides to give the AFL a go and leaves the army to be rookie listed by the Dockers.
3. Angus might then think he’d like to play along side his brothers and seeks a trade to Freo
4. We then have our own ‘Daniher’ moment with all 4 brothers playing together in a Western Derby. If Gaff stays at Weak Coast (unlikely IMHO), brother Will has he skill set to seek and exact brutal retribution on Gaff, is suspended for xx weeks - then retires from footy to continue his army career.
