The last quarter of footy today!
I am so disappointed with the way Freo came out in the last quarter. We had to stand up and make a statement, but I am convinced RoLy ‘s 3/quarter time address was to just go out and play the ball. The game was already lost. We have no chance of finals.
Stand up and tell these pr**ks to eff off FFS

I think Ross showed his feeling side today.......he did well to keep the players in a dignified space. The players played with dignity and did not lower themselves. I think Ross's stocks went up today in my mind. He showed how he cares for the players.

The thing to remember here is, not since the Carr bros, Solomon, Grover etc have we had a side known for their brute force. Times have changed. Roly would have been condemned had he allowed our player group to seek retribution. Though like I said, the Carr Bros would have had other ideas.

Brute force? Any force would do. Retribution would have been firing them up to not take any backwards steps, lift their effort and go harder at the ball. They didn't have to go all-out Gaff.

But Lyon doesn't seem to like passion. It messes up his spreadsheets.

Drubs, I could be wrong but we had more tackles than the slime. I haven’t analysed the spreadsheet but it wasn’t the effort it was the execution. On current form the result was inevitable but I think today was more about AB. Surely you can put you’re disdain for Roly aside for a bit.

We didn't have to go out and king hit those weak curs, but yeah, every time we had a chance the shoulder with a bit of extra elbow should have gone in, shepherds should have been delivered and with force, gaff and the eagles should have been made to feel physically threatened.

Lyon should have said, "play the ball, play it hard, and play the man harder. They started this crap, WE FINISH IT now get out there and do it."

RM, from what I saw they exacted as much retribution on Gaff as possible without getting suspended.

Gray & Langdon (I think?) got him in a tackle then ripped his shoulder strapping off while there. Not as effective as a quick elbow to the jaw to send him into an adjoining operating theatre with young Brayshaw for reconstructive surgery - but knowing what it feels like to rip strapping tape off I'm sure that's the reason Gaff was crying on the bench.

Naah, I can't imagine Mark Harvey or Connolly saying "Boys, settle down, don't go out there to square up. Just play the game." It would have been "They want to start this sh!t, they can stay while we finish it. Sort them out boys." I'm sure that's the message that went to Solly the day he hit Ling, and the message that went out in 2001.
