On a positive note that was the the highest score Freo have scored for 10 weeks. Amazing what having tall forwards to kick to does. They could have kicked straighter though.

Hoping for a 100 point smashing of Carlton next week.

If Gaff had hit Brayshaw in the same way outside a pub that would be 3 months jail for assault.

Re Gaff. Tom Percy QC (and I think freo fan) stated it was assault and should be investigated by police. Could be interesting night for Gaff, apparently he shares a house with Andrew's brother.

You can not deny the boys efforts today but the turnovers & skill errors killed us. The Gaff incident was deplorable & I have never seen so much coverage of aplayer who has deliberately struck another player off the ball it was embarrassing & cringeworthy if he doesn’t get 6 weeks for that then I will be dumbfounded

Many years ago, in Rugby League land, NRL, I can’t recollect the parties involved, but a civil court action was pursued by the injured party. Damages was paid out. So Brayshaw, I would have thought would perhaps ask the question.

I beg to differ with the learned darthmarto: breaking a jaw in a deliberate assault is often accepted as GBH in English Common Law and has been so found often and in many jurisdictions. While it is not specified in the WA code, there is nothing in law or precedent to disqualify that interpretation.

There is also plenty of presence for assaults like that of Gaff’s resulting in criminal charges, especially when they occur away from the play and therefore, it has been found, indistinguishable from an assault “ on the street”

I think Gaff will get 10 weeks, by the way.

Loved Johnnos response to put Gaff in the sandwich. You could tell Gaff wasnt seriously dazed, he just didnt want to get back up again.

Roly did real well in the presser, threw Gaff under the bus with the correct moniker of "King Hit 100m off the ball" There`s a pecedent with Barry Hall 7 weeks isnt there?"

I thought Roly never saw these incidents. Glad he noticed this one.
Im thinking this has got to be cracked down on severely and I would think at least 8 weeks.
