Well...for the record...I actually agree with something you've said Jezza. !! I agree that Chris Scott should have done far more with the list he's got than he has....
I think hes been a bit of an underperfomer...and I'd doubt their 'powers to be' would be happy with their current position.
Probably the same at the SCG....theyve had a lot of cattle but not many premierships.

Having said that, both those teams play competitive, flag winning potentential football, and have the cattle to do it.

And thats a heck of a lot different to what weve been doing

Jezza, go back and watch the game against the Hawks. When they went for the footy , they handled it cleanly because they knew what was ahead of them. Most our players have shown at all levels coming through, that they have the skills to play at top level. While I agree that the pressure at AFL level is higher, so is the skill level.

What separates players at the elite level is the stuff between the ears.

If it is not a lack of skill that is causing our fumbling, it is what is happening between the ears, the mental fumbling because players are not sure they have an option upfield.

My concern at the moment is, apart from the poor performances, that due to the lack of success being dished up this year, we might well be waving goodbye to Cerra at seasons end. I hope not as he will be an out and out A grader for whoever he plays.

RM for at least the last 4 weeks Ross has had the exact set up you want - blokes forward of the ball. It’s not our young players not having options to kick to - they are young and inexperienced and lack skill and composure under pressure and, what’s worse, for the last few weeks have had blokes playing forward of the footy like Cox, Jones and others who can’t get near it.
