Had hoped for signs of improvement today with the inclusion of 3 better players big Darcy had a shocker and Brayshaw was ineffective at best. Have to congratulate Stephen Hill though he was superb. Brendan Cox looks in need of a spell along with Giro, Sheridan, Tucker and Matera. Great games from Mundy, Neale and Langdon with an honorable mention for big Jonesy with 7 marks!

Yeti, I can't buy that. They had the personnel, we didn't. With all respect to Cox and Jones, they weren't a lot of use up forward. Giro - great effort but not much use. Matera - have seen value in him in some games, but not this one. Darcy - so much to learn. Sutcliffe and Sheridan - just not quite up to it. When you've got a third of your side being either too young and inexperience, or just not good enough, then its very hard to be competitive.

Look who kicked their goals. Breust, Gunston, Roughhead, Mitchell, O'Meara, Schoenmakers etc. That is a combination of talent and experience we just didn't have today.

The Hawks are not a special team and if they make the 8 they are simply making up the numbers, but gee we made them look good today. It's amazing what a team can do with a semblance of a game plan.
They looked to play on at all times, ran hard through the middle, linked up for each other and had so many players free out the back.
Our usual game plan was on display today, kick it sideways, fumble a lot, fail to hit targets, turn it over and my personal favourite, just bomb it into the 50 without looking. When are the coaching staff going to realise this is simply madness.

Im calling it early, McGovern for the Glendinning/Allan medal next week.
