To be fair, its a bit of an impost on teams like Freo, forcing players to have to sprint from the forward 50 all the way to half back before the ball gets there.

You'll likely get an increase in soft tissue injuries caused by the repeated sprints and the worst case scenario with a quick clearance from the centre is that Freo would suffer the indignity of actually having a forward line. Theres just no room in the game for that sort of thing

I applaud the club for taking a strong stance on this issue. Clearly, after the trial a few weeks ago at the club and the corresponding loss to the Lions, it’ll be tough to retuned the players after 5 years of Rolyball. If it ain’t broken why fix it.

I check the weekly Presidential approval poll published by Gallop every Tuesday to see if the latest Trump calamity has impacted his approval ratings. It never does, if anything it goes up. It leaves you speechless as to why.

But then you read Jezza's posts and you kind of get it. I am sure if the Dockers said, "yep, we want to do it, Jezza would post the exact same words".

I seem to remember a large contingent of the posters on here slamming the AFL for tampering with the game mid season a few days ago. “How dare they mess with the integrity of the game” was the cry. I tended to agree. The club’s now come down on our side. And this is a source of ridicule? Our club has made some rubbish, insulting decisions of late, but this one seems to have gone the right way. Yet some here seem to have found it an excuse to bag the club. No pleasing some people, I suppose. Excuse me: on with your “rolyball” bashing.
