TOPIC: Why can't clubs keep their supporters informed?

Given the state of our season the club will be taking the long term view rather than rushing him back. Rightly, in my view. We aren't in contention for anything. The worst possible thing would be for Fyfe to come back early and re-injure the leg.

I recall when Fyfe was injured Chris Bond came out on Tuesday and allayed everyone's fears that the Hamstring was not as bad as initially thought and would be less than 5 weeks. Even hinted that it maybe only 3 -4 weeks. So I remember saying that hamstring are usually 3 weeks.

Well now it has become a 6 week injury.

Expect the forthcoming announcement of "season-ending" surgery for Fyfe.

In nine years with us Fyfe has never played a full year of football - he came close in 2013 with 22 games. Unless he plays differently, I just kind of accept he won't front up every week.

Given his lack of discipline, I can't believe he won a Brownlow.

Things could be worse. The Dockers may be shockers at communicating with the long-suffering supporters, but the club does seem to try and do it's best to protect the players from suffering long-term (and post-footy) problems as much as possible, often at the cost of not putting out the best 22 on match day. Compare that with the Other Mob up the road, rushing that bearded goal shooter bloke back from a broken leg, and now he's broken again.

But at least they got the 4 points.
