My gripe here is about Fyfe's availability, however most clubs seem to be the same, as if not telling the true story about player's injuries will give them an edge! WHAT BS!
Fyfe injured his hammie about 4 weeks ago and he has been treated like the forgotten man. It did not look like a major hammie when he did it, but we are treated like mushrooms. I for one, would like to know when he can expected back.
Stop treating supporters like crap. This applies to most clubs.

Unfortunately football clubs live in a bubble and operate under a siege mentality.
I am also not sure how well ie IQ there management staff are.
I am not saying they are Dumb , but maybe unlike some of there players NOT at the top of the talent pool.
So because they are not that bright there probably assume we are not that smart either and just feed us crap.
But hey , we accept it and move on.
Disgraceful really.

During another year of low returns, I had hoped that Fyfe would win most Brownlow votes, coaches award and MVP. Small scraps for hungry supporters maybe but something to hope for. I feel that by locking down, our officials are showing a scant disrespect for the major part of a club, it's supporter base. Honesty as to where players are at would be a show of respect.

What I am suggesting is that the club has not given us any information as to why Fyfe has, (at this stage ) a 7 week hammie which I repeat appeared very innocuous when it happened. Three week was always a standard for that injury.

A couple of days after the injury the club said he’d miss five games. He’s missed three so far and he’s a few weeks away, which means he’ll miss maybe five or six games in total. Isn’t that tracking more or less on target? Add in the fact we’re out of finals contention and Fyfe’s heavy catwalk commitments, and I can see why they wouldn’t rush him back.

So I’m not really sure what the issue is.

I maintain my view that the supporters do not keep informed enough.
I am an unreserved Fyfe fan.
I do not care ii he is doing catwalk shows, I only care if he is playing at his best. I don't care if he has an interview with Bob Murphy and shows he is a different cat. He is developing into a very good captain and seems very supportive of young players especially in having them board with him as does Sandi. (Country guys). When he was in the process of re-signing there was a certain element in the supporter group who seemed to be happy that he would leave and we would get a couple of "good" players in return. Fyfe is an iconic player. We need to build around him not try to cut him down.
