Some encouraging stats there. Would be good for Dixon to have a run in the bigs before the season is out. Hopefully he can string a few together. I dont know what the souths ruck was like but Strnadica slaughtered him stats,wise.
Surely Harley’s done enough to finally get a go? I don’t think you can have more than 2-3 of Sutlciffe, Sheridan, Bjorn, hughes and tucker in the team at once.

Was at the game and Harley played really well and played for the four quarters in the midfield , he is ready to go
Crowden was a goer and just needs to improve his kicking to advantage
Brady Grey was great and his attack on the ball as always first class , bring him in next week instead of Sutcliffe
Star man again showed good signs in the ruck and whist the boy from Tassie showed good goal sense he is a project player and not ready for the seniors
Kersten did some good work at full back and North is finally showing some glimpses and might develop further with a good pre season

How was Switowski ogs? I thought he could be a bit of a Banfield type find for us this year as by all accounts he has done the hard yards at vfl level and finds the goals. Then he got injured from day one. Might be something to look forward to?

Doesn't Strnadica's 2 year gig expire at the end of this year. I know he came as a forward prospect but has shown promising results rucking and surely now is the time to see if he's worth retaining or trading?

Switowski was very very promising as has great leg speed plus the footy smarts (like a balla`s of 5 years ago) If he didnt have the bad hamy`s he would be in the seniors by now, in my opinion a better player than Matera (certainly a lot quicker)
Star man is not a true key forward , dont think he is a natural lead up full forward but is a good contested mark and reasonably mobile, in todays game he is the ideal forward pocket with a run on the ball to back up the main ruckman (going forward that has to be Hodor)
As a future player talent wise he is a mile ahead of Jones, just hope his attitude is right as seems a bit laconic
Meek is an interesting one as appears to have a great attitude and endeavour to learn , at the moment is still very raw and needs to improve his pack marking, going forward if someone like Sandi takes him in hand he is a potential lead ruckman

Yes, I too am holding out hope for Switkoski, and North is another I'm hoping will make it.

I don't really understand why Strnadica has not been given a chance. He's progressed greatly this year and his returns at Peel have been superior to Jones, Meek and Apeness, yet he never looks like getting a run. Plus I can't see how he ever will because at the end of the year he needs to moved off the rookie list or be delisted.

Seeing as how we already have an overabundance of big similar type players who are in their first year or just been re-signed, plus looking at drafting Lobb or a key forward, I can't see how he can keep his spot. IMO for this reason he won't be given a game no matter how well he plays. It's obvious they prefer Jones, even though Strnadica has done better at WAFL level

And by the way, I'm not related to the family or know them at all. He may very well not end up being too good, but I just think he's been harshly treated.
