Dont agree with the negative assessment that Port were especially terrible today. Our back line was sublime and was impenetrable all day. Hamling, Pearce, Ryan, Nyhuis and Wilson will form a formidable back line for the next 8 years.

We outplayed them most of the day and thoroughly deserved the win.

We structured up forward of the ball all day and Jones and Hodor gave us size and muscle where it counted. this was a good win and most importantly, "success is feedback", mainly for Roly, who needs to put 2 and 2 together and go back and have a look at our wins and our losses and work out what the common denominators for our wins are. Then repeat.

It wasn’t meant to be. 2 horrible losses, playing without Fyfe and Sandi, fielding a team with 1200 games less experience and 3 years younger on average and against premiership contender. With a coach who has no game plan against one who has flair and a plan B. Yep it wasn’t meant to be. But, wowwee it happened. Tell me again why there shouldn’t be anything but optimism for the future.
