I think the obvious thing is not recognising that our rebuild will have the highs and lows like most clubs. My expectations like most DL is that our list should be more than competitive against plodders. BTW, not many would’ve picked Bris to beat the Hawks in Tassie who played without Hodgey. Swings and roundabouts.

you're very quick to diss Brisbane, call them plodders, mock their progress as far as rebuilds go while you talk up where we are and our bright future ad nauseam.

A few facts for you. They have thrashed at home and away over the last few years. Thats not an accident. They played far better than we did. As far as beating Hawthorn, plenty of people tipped them.

Calling them plodders is just crap. They are certainly showing more heart than our guys right now. As for missing players? If you are well coached and playing with heart you can overcome missing players as Brisbane showed yesterday. We should be able to show that as well.

Do you want to tell me why we don't?

As for Brisbane, sure they can't attract big names up there and they can lose players easier than most but they still showed more passion and fight than we do.

All of a sudden there’s some Brisbane wagon hoppers. They’re a basket case. I stand corrected but didn’t they request a priority pick in one of the last few drafts and was granted that wish. Anyhow, consider that you’re a Brissie supporter, since the days of Voss et al, they’re relevance is on par as to our current dilemma. But if you consider Brisbane has more upside then that’s fine. I’ll stick around beating our own drum.

Hypen its unlikely that the Bulldogs will go past us, especially with their percentage. Also it’s looking likely that Lynch will leave the Gold Coast meaning they will get a priority pick after their first. This will push us down the order.

West Coast are crap and a bottom four side.

No more excuses for Roly. If we don't make the eight his times up.

Now they're all blown out of the water it's time for a quick deflection to Brisbane who are supposedly just a bunch of plodders who are doing better than us. Also a little reminder that when Brisbane beat us convincingly at home we were already over 5 goals behind before Fyfe was injured, so another excuse blown.

On the Bullies, I got them beating Carlton and Saints. If they can upset Port or North Melbourne then they will go past us. They played well against Melbourne and are getting a few back.

I can't see us winning anymore than 1 game from here.

Brisbane are good. Just about the only time I get to rate teams is when they play us at home. Last year I saw Collingwood pull us apart and thought that they were much better than their ladder position indicated. Its the same with Brisbane - they are a better side than their current ladder position.

its not about us beating Adelaide or anybody, its about mindlessly paying out on a side that is playing reasonably well. Brisbane are not plodders. They are playing better than some on here are prepared to acknowledge.

Not sure exactly why Brisbane is now the benchmark , other than a club that’s was badly mismanaged ala freo.
But they did get the right coach now.
Why do we compare to these lower sides instead of the elite sides that manage themselves well year after year.
Our brothers down the road know how it’s done. Nothing magical just stop making dumb descions.
