Also poor form by the traffic management outfit contracted. There was construction and temporary fencing everywhere, and when someone asked one of the TM blokes which way to go the response was basically a grumpy ‘I’m not paid to give directions’.

Which is technically true. But in between setting up and taking down a few cones and signs they are basically paid to do nothing, so they might as well be happy about it.

The ladder climb could work – if - they could remove a few rungs and smear duck fat over others it could be billed as some sort a horror attraction. Add a do-it-yourself bungy jump and or electrified sections and it could be as dodgy as a Queensland theme park.
