We have an excellent crop of young guys on the list - Cerra, Brayshaw, Cox, Langdon, Giro, Crowden, Darcy etc etc . They all need to be tied up, from a contractual point of view that is.

From what I've heard, Lloyd and Bondy informed the kid that they've opened negotiations with Dewey up on the Gold Coast to do a swap Adam with Jack Martin. The interview with him yesterday didn't really indicate Basil was in any way right although Cerra spoke very well for a first year player.

I hope he does sign soon but I can't see it happening right at the moment.

Its done - you know what the club is like.
They are sitting on the news until they feel they need it.

We don’t tend to lose too many draftees over the last few drafts. Ed Langdon, I thought was gone for all money. Which speaks volumes for the culture at the club. Really it’s unprecedented that a rookie’s contract is being hyped up. I think it’s time the AFL changed the rule that rookies are tied up for a minimum of 3 years. I’ve got a question though, what’s Cerra’s best position having watched him fwd, mid and back. I feel that the half back line is his calling.
