Have just listened to this podcast, an interview of Fyfe pre season with Paul Marsh. Nearly an hour of in depth interview.
Fyfe is certainly a very assured, impressive young man and I am sure will become an outstanding Captain. This podcast is a must for Dockers and football supporters. He is very balanced and thoughtful about the responsibilities of captaining a football club. We are in good hands for many years if he chooses to keep the job.
I was alerted to this interview by Gerard Whately on Fox 360 tonight. Whately, an admitted anti Docker, was quite effusive of his praise for Fyfe.

That's the idea, Trag, get him out of his media trained comfort zone and find out what he really thinks about surfers, queue jumpers, game plans and playing in the forward line when you can't kick straight for goal. (as an aside, has Balla's suggested to Fyfey that he should kick at the kid directly behind the goal umpire? I reckon Fyfe is still trying to kick at the magpie in the blackbutts and York gums behind the goals in lake Grace) I can't see Polly letting him off the hook on the tough questions.

Just had a listen and what struck me most was how carefully he thought through those last questions he was asked. He really took his time to consider his answers, that’s impressive! Also bring back Brett Kirk and I always thought Chris Scott was excellent when he was with us and did pre game interviews. Maybe we needed an Eddie as president? Sigh, hindsight!
