Swans are making plenty of mistakes too, but the eagles are struggling to handle the pressure. The Swans are not kicking the ball to McGovern and Hurn. This has confused the eagles defense and they have no idea what to do. Except "man up on Buddy". I hope you are watching, Lyon, Hale and Guerra.

One of the ugliest, most boring games I have ever seen. If it wasn't 1st vs 3rd you'd be throwing bricks at the tele.

But watching the Eagles lose is always fun, especially when Baz The Eagle is commentating.

Seriously, if this is the best the AFL can dish up, things are worse than I thought.

That commentator, whatever his name is, was a disgrace. By the way he was dishing out his comments I thought the slime were always kicking for goal with only a kick in the game.
Give us a break and get a comments person who isn’t blinded by slime.

Thought there were some great moments tonight. Buddy’s soft as butter free kicks in the third to arrest any chance of an Eagles surge. A very soft free in the middle straight after Yeo’s goal in the last, followed by a ticky touch wood fifty to open it back up. Then Umps paying a few to Eagles, once game was decided. Thankfully, as I have had pointed out to me on many occasions they don’t make a difference to the result.
There was some classic commentary from Basil. Player kicks ball into Nic Nats arms for Nic Nat to collect and muck up a handball. Basil calls spectacular from Naitanui. Naitanui bends over and is skittled by the ball running clumsily into Swans player and receives a free. Basil calls Naitanui has really lifted this qtr.
Comedy gold.

I thought the game had finished and the world cup had started when they paid that one smiley.

It was an interesting game from where I watched it, I worked late so stopped off at a pub for a meal and a pint to watch the last half on the way home.

The 95% pro-Eagles crowd was rabid, apparently they were being completely ripped off by the umpies....

I kept my head down most of the time (well I was scared for my life) but of course couldn't help but cheer, cheer the red and white at times.
At one stage one of the most vocal, right next to me, yelled out what was that for, show us a replay.
Unlike him, I had both eyes open so was glad when they played the replay I could point out the obvious hold on Buddy.

Nice steak, nice pint, great game, great company, well I enjoyed the interaction anyway.

Eagles would have won that in Perth. Saw 4 frees they would have been given in the first quarter alone. But very pleasing to have my schadenfreude levels returned to normal.
