The midfield worked well last week without Fyfe. He isn’t really an accurate enough kick to be a full time forward but if you were going to try it tomorrow seems like a good time. Lyon could always throw Blakely or Hill in the middle, although Blakely seems to have found his spot across half back. I am a bit worried about Hill. Thought he may have come back through Peel because he had been struggling prior to the injury.

I hope we are fired up. Carlton will have absolutely pencilled this one in as a potential win, especially with our recent away record. With one win they will be desperate. If we play to our best we should win. I also noted that Titus O’Reily was dismissive of our win on the weekend saying Freo ‘got lucky’.

The sad thing is that we could get belted even with a dominant display by Fyfe.
Our forward line can’t kick enough goals away from home and you take Walters out of the side and it looks really thin to kick a winning score.
Take a Pearce out of our back line and it begins to get scary. I like kersten but not as a one on one defender. Casboult and potentially cruiser down there might get scary. Our one on one defence is average at best.
I hope for better but our promises have proved empty away from home.
