4 teams were on a bye last week, 3 of them Melbourne based. The question we should be asking is why the VFL chose (picked the word carefully) not to have Carlton playing another Melbourne-advantaged team after the bye, instead, choosing to drag an interstate team over to Victoria, on a 6 day break? I know the real purpose of DL is to try and see the funny side of this so-called national sport, that's growing increasingly absurd, but keeping on saying 'c'est la vie' isn't going to bring about change, is it?
