Yep, good call, last weeks show featuring Barry Cable was an absolute ripper.
Although I had watched him heaps as a youngster to hear his story made me appreciate his achievements so much more.
This week they are featuring the Krakouer Brothers, talk about Nyoongar footy magic, I will be tuning in for sure.

Can I get the Barry Cable highlights on iview or something! I grew up a a demons supporter in the 70s and was honored to see week arter week his sublimlime clearance ability, pinpoint drop punt passes, hand ball and work rate. Very Best ever IMO. When he went to north Melbourne I started following them because everyone needed a Vfl team in the 70s which was cool until the Dockers came in and then Brent Harvey came in which changed everything

Yeah not sure bluepup but you would have loved it.
Sounds like he struggled to get a game at first, not sure who it was now but one of his coaches told him if he was to make it at his size he had to work on his skills so he worked and worked and worked.
Talked about him changing the game with his ability to tap, handball on and either drawing the free for being held without or running on and collecting again plus long clearing kicks with pinpoint accuracy.
I was about to post a link on here because I was enjoying it so much but I realised it was almost over.

On the wrong side of the country at the moment so just watched this weeks episode. Krakouer boys on show tonight.
Hearing what Eddie went through this week makes me fear that maybe we have not progressed as far as I thought when it comes to racist views. Hearing only a little of what Phil and Jim went through makes me cringe and I hope we are now at least better than we were then. It’s a work in progress.
Those guys were trailblazers and we owe them a debt. Forget for a moment their skills and any bloody magic myths. They could play no doubt but just to get from Mt Barker to Melbourne was some sort of mission.
Good shows these ones - don’t miss them.

Jimmy was vilified by the media and opposition supporters because he took a "no prisoners" approach to his stand on racist comments. Most of the time it was taken on behalf of his noongar teammates not himself. He never, like J Farmer in later years, used it as an excuse at the tribunal, and the officials of the day were happy to see him labelled a hot-headed "hit first" offender, rather than look further into the reasons why he made so many tribunal appearances.

It was over a period of that lead to the change , I think K Barttlett was amongst the first players to force a rule change with the holding the ball if you are tackled while bouncing it but maybe a little bit from Cable earlier on .
