Obviously a lot to like from the weekend esp Cerra, Cox, Langdon and Brayshaws game that have all been well lauded.
Just a few others I havent noticed getting much credit - I though Kersten played really well down back and maybe just maybe he could do a Tarrant?? Heres hoping he backs it up next week.
Nyhuis could be our one and only true lock down backman to play small against the Betts/Wingard types like Shane Parker used to. He seems to be able to compete on the ground and in the air with defence his main aim not running off like Wilson and Ryan do.
Giro was fantastic and ran all day again aswell as Jones who although not getting plenty of the ball certainly crashed packs and made a contest for others to blossom.
Poor old Jones couldnt pick up his feet late in the game but there is something there to work with. Well Done.
The jury is still out for me on the Ape but he also competed hard a few times when needed aswell.
Cant wait for next week now

I thought the team lifted its tackling rate. The intensity was there right from the start and the second efforts were a highlight. The win was driven by the youngsters and they deserved it. It came at a great time for the club.
What about the deft touch from Cox to Walters that produced T-Bone’s goal. There was a lot to like.

Scott Jones put huge effort in, he was good. At least halved the contests he was in, excellent pressure. He's in the long Ruckman queue, but he's enjoyable to watch having a crack. Was knackered at the end of the game.

He did, Snoop. He contested in the air and brought the ball to ground, and he also did some good work below his knees. Shows promise in the medium term, and is a capable fill-in when needed.

Apeness, took more marks, but that does not take away from Jones effort in his second game. His willingness to compete in every contest provided opportunity for his teammates. He is worth persevering with, and should be given a lead ruck role in the next few games to allow Apeness to be the big forward.

Jones copped a spray from Sonson when he failed to provide a shepherd. But when I looked closely at the replay, Jones initially ran away from Sonson, to be 30m out dead in front - thinking that Sonson would pass it to him. And when he realised that Sonson was not kicking it to him, it was too late for him to shepherd. In hindsight, I think the error was Sonson's, who was probably thinking to himself, "What would Kevin Bartlett do?"
