Takes 2 ruckman to combat Jacobs? OK they alternate at FF and try and bring the ball to the ground to the advantage of one of our 4 (potentially) rovers - Matera, Ballas, Giro or Walters. OK Walters plays 75% midfield.
I think they've got an eye on the weather (wet) with all those smalls in.
The question is can we win the ball from the stoppages or in the middle to get the ball forward so our smalls can do the job? Big ask with Fyfe and Sandi out.

if we are trying to bring our young players in, and
if one of the main drawbacks of being a new young player is that you are not accustomed to playing in the Dockers at AFL level, '

isn't the only way to get used to playing in the team, is to PLAY IN THE TEAM?

This may be our horrible year, I think we should use it to get the young blokes accustomed to being in the team.

So I think Ballantyne should not play for the Dockers again.

Not sure why it is a choice between Ballas and Giro. They are both in the final 22.

The point is to put a line through Ballas makes no sense. He is certainly on his way out but considerations like injuries etc may mean he gets a game, like this week.

As for the Crowden suggestion, his effort last week for Peel doesn't warrant inclusion at this time. Will be a handy player for us soon though.
