Agree with most of that Yeti, but it doesn't appear from where I am standing that much is being done to fix these little skill deficiencies during the week, over the last 5 years. That is where we fall down. That is why a Menegola can go from Freo to the Cats and suddenly improve, why a De Boer can go to GWS and maintain his spot. These teams take players and work on their skills, rather than spend all week trying to drill game plans into them (game plans that are redundant, and even more so when you don't equip the players implementing them with the skills they need to implement them, a never ending vortex to the bottom).
The big disappointment on Sunday was not losing Sandi, the reversals against Mundy and Banfield, the shocking couple of free kick blunders in the last 15 minutes. It was the fact that, like so many other times over the last 5 years, we had a team down, and only had to attack the game to put them away in the first and early in the second quarter, but we didn't. Until we try and win games by scoring more than the opposition rather than stop them from scoring more than us, we will be left open to miracle reversals of fortune, and sides coming back from the dead against us.
