TOPIC: C'mon

It's not that bad. Three points down in the last quarter then Sandi concusses himself and the umpires make some unbelievable decisions. North were lucky in the end. I'm a glass half-full person.

I sincerely wish I could be part of the group of supporters
that genuinely thinks the team is tracking along nicely.

I could walk out of Optus stadium with my head held high and thinking we played well but were just unlucky.

What a lovely warm feeling it would be after a loss like that to feel so optimistic.

Unfortunately I walk out of there thinking the highlight of the night was a $2 pie and wondering how we didn’t get beaten by more.

Finalport, why don't you drink the rest of the glass and you might understand what the rest of us have been talking about.

Seriously Finalport? That’s not glass half full, that’s simply too many glasses.
If North had kicked straight it would have been all over 15 minutes into the first quarter. And, before anyone suggests that Freo contributed to their bad kicking, it had nothing to do with our backline pressure or anything else we were doing. They could have won that game by 10 goals (away from home).

Am I the only one who is sceptical that KingKepler only had “a $2 pie” ??

I applied women’s shoe sale purchasing logic and saved a fair whack of money on Sunday ...

What is it that keeps people coming back who are so dispirited by the game they no longer find any joy in it, nor even accept the simple premise that things aren't all doom and gloom without summarily dismissing it as nonsense? Is it a masochism thing? Is it a guilt thing? It seems so self-defeating.

I reckon a few people could benefit from a spell. Spend the rest of the season in the WAFL, have a nice relaxing summer without David Warner ruining it, see how things are looking in preseason then come back into the fold after saying a dozen Hail Pavlichs as penance.

Every season starts and I hope we are in the mix mid season and we are.
With the players which have departed in the past two years and we should expect to be 4 & 6.
Matthew Pavlich, Michael Barlow, Tendai Mzungu, Matt de Boer, Clancee Pearce,
Alex Silvagni, Chris Mayne, Zac Dawson, Garrick Ibbotson, Zac Clarke, Sam Collins,
Jonathon Griffin, Hayden Crozier, Lachie Weller and Nick Suban
Add the the players delisted who only played several games the total is nearly 30.

It's like turning over rocks to see what you get. The only rock we haven't turned over is Rolly.

I'm optimistic and patient. I've had one foot in Jezza's tent for the last 2 and a half seasons. But after the last month that foot is out. We need change. This plan and many of these players are not taking us anywhere, not now or in 2020. That's not pessimism, its realism. I'm neither anti-Lyon nor anti-Rosich. Having briefly met both, they both seem like nice enough guys and I think they're trying. Both have done good things for the club since 2012. But the success is now clearly not "sustained success". I want us to be in the Hawthorn, Sydney, Geelong mould: perennially contending or at worst competitive. Currently we are uncannily Saints-like. We can't even patronise Richmond fans any more.

Except for making fun of their haircuts and low IQs and fashion choices of course. We can still do that.

Yep, I’m going back to the WAFL to watch Claremont and forget about Freo for a couple of hours, now who are they playing?
