Who could have guessed McCarthy would struggle as the No1 KPF and needs support? I'm glad we have such astute football judges in control of the direction of the club, especially when they learn from mistakes so quickly and don't persist with a failing tactic.

I look forward to McCarthy being the third tall tomorrow.

So Roly knows when 211 goes off for a spell that when young Cox who is no experienced campaigner but has plenty of promise goes into the ruck that we have poor old Cam McCarthy trying to be our Tony Lockett and its not working. Hello....just about every FFC person at any game can see this has been a big problem. Never mind blind freddie, blind melon chittlin would have more alternate strategies than the current match committie

Even the ABC footy show today suggested perhaps we should try running two ruckmen for a month and see how it goes

As long as any tall option we introduce is able to lead to the footy fairly often even as a dummy lead and take a defender with him.

The modus operandi against Freo at the moment is to place defenders into a zone where they can easily intercept the ball and McCarthy usually has more than one to beat.

North Melbourne will setup this way so our coaches need to run with a forward setup that gives our blokes at least half a chance of marking it on the lead or in a one on one contest

Josh Caddy (186cm) stepped up to kick 6 today in Reiwoldts absence.........admittedly against St Kilda but a damn fine effort and quite interesting Richmond were still able to execute a method which enabled another forward to kick a bag of goals
