Not sure we need two key forwards who are 200 cm and not great kicks in Tabs and A Pearce. Pearce has the great asset of speed though. What about Hamling as a second key forward? Speed, enough height, good kick and can mark. We need someone who can complement not replicate what we already have in Tabs.
We seriously have to look outside the square here and consider either Fyfe, Ryan, Hamling or Pearce as a key forward. Unfortunately Tabs, Kersten Cox and even Hugh Dixon are all the same sort of players. Good marks, limited agility and speed. You can have one but probably not all three. Dixon looks to be the most natural footballer and if he can build his tank and speed he may make it. Dixon and Cox are still 3 or 4 years away though and probably wont peak until about age 25 or even later. Thats why Roly needs to think outside of the square on one of the more mature players right now.
Especially whilst Tabs is out we could be experimenting with Hamling forward for example and Kersten back. What have we got to lose?? nothing!!
