For all our snide and holier than thou comments about the supporters of other teams in the comp, some of our own need to hang their heads in shame.
A mate and his wife went to the game on Saturday and the vile, disgusting comments/actions directed their way just because they happened to support another club was absolutely appalling. This was no all in good fun ribbing but out and out vitriolic filth (and that was just the women apparently!) God forbid if the Saints had have won.
I realise that all clubs have their knobhead supporters, but lets set the bar a bit higher than everyone else.

They do realise that it's a minority but they attend 3 or 4 matches per year in Melbourne and have never been abused and spat on by ANY other supporters. Also never happened at Subi, it must be a Craypot thing (meat in the tail and ****in the head)

There's been a few anecdotes surface about behaviour being a problem, actually.

There's always been an element that act poorly... it'd be a shame of that's becoming more widespread.

At Domain/Pattersons/Subi there was a number you could report unseemly behaviour. Is that available at Optus/Burswood/Perth Arena? I reckon spitting is a reportable offence.
I also note that a lot of people seem to think it is now acceptable to move in and out of your seat while the game is on at Optus. What happened to the 'Break in Play' rule? It seems the flippy seats have encouraged all sorts of poor manners.

It is not good enough. If people near you behave like that, tell them off. Lets face it, if you are a Carlton supporter, and by some miracle your team is winning, you have every right to crow. In this civilized age, the only defense is wit. I rather hated being surrounded by slime supporters in the derby, but hey, that's life.

I'm sorry to hear what happened to those people. No way any of that is acceptable or explainable.

I've been spat more times here than in Melbourne. In Melbourne only once but the rest of the hundreds of people I've dealt with over the footy have been fantastic. So good job Melbourne.

I hate hearing about bell end supporters and wish we didn't have them but the sad fact is that we do have them. Its up to the rest of us to show others how they should behave.
