Next to me are a couple of Freo supporters who spend the whole game criticising our players, and never noticing the good things they do. Behind me is a crew who hate Michael Johnson. I got tired of them in the last quarter, so every time Johnno did something good, I'd turn around and tell them how good he was. Its easy to only notice the kicks that don't hit the target or his lack of pace when chasing, but his ability to be where he needs to be and then do the right thing is impressive. I know its his last season, and that he doesn't have a place in a team without injuries, but why see only the bad side of him?
On a worrying note, we do seem to rely an awful lot on the older players. Goals in the first quarter to Sandi, Ballas and D Pearce, if I recall correctly.
