You would think the umpires would show some common sense. Crowden was running alongside his opponent to get forward of the player taking the free, when the opponent quickly doubled back around to the other side of the mark. Crowden immediately cleared the area without affecting the play but was given 50. We saw player after player come within the protected zone all night (not alongside an opponent either) with no penalty, then that. Why???

1) Short neck
2) Gets caught holding the ball more than his team mates
3) Loves the tackling part of the game
4) Has a decent kick on him (is it left like Suban, can't remember?)
5) Looks like he plays angry

I think hes great. ! And yep...he got caught more than a couple of times last night.

But, its a bit like fast bowlers bowling no balls....he's pushing the limit to get the most out of the situation.

I think theres been numerous instances in previous weeks where he has contributed really important 'under pressure, link up' handballs .... or got us out of congested situations with really good hand or precise long, kicks.

Then theres his tackling!! The kids got a head as hard as a rock. !

Yep, hes tired - but he'll be stronger for it.
Yep -at 18- he can make mistakes.
But the sooner this bloke cranks out 50 games, the sooner we have a player with 'smarts & skills' .

And we are currently particularly short of those...!
