Well firstly, I;ve never seen Nic Nat as a dirty player but since he first began playing I've been saying that his reckless charging into packs and driving opposition players heads into the turf will eventually lead to someone being seriously injured. The Sandilands injury last season was an example. It was seen at the time as just unlucky as a big guy , Nic Nat, launched into a pack and inadvertently kneed Sandi in the ribs seeing him sidelined for most of the season. The problem is that Nic Nat is continually reckless in his approach and does not deserve a free pass to pummel opponents heads into the dirt. Apart from comments that he's an exciting player justifying this behaviour, comments that he tried to turn Amon in the tackle are total lies. I 've watched continuous replays of his tackles on Amon. Parfitt and Smith and there does not appear to be any attempt to turn the victim in the tackles. What is consistent however is the use of his shoulder to drive the victim's head/upper body into the turf with the full weight of his body in order to maximise the potential for injury. I don't ever remember other big guys such as Sandi or even Shane Mumford for that matter using similar tackling methods. Congrats to Michael Christian in this matter and let's hope it saves opposition players from being permanently maimed by this raging bull.

While I am not a Ross Lyon fan, ( as some of you may have perceived), I would have him in front of the clown Simpson any day. I don't care what sort of tactical genius you are, to come out and say that that decision was based on prejudice against the eagles and natanui is another low point in the eagles story. For all that we can Lyon for not standing up for his players at the tribunal, he would not pick an example like that to have a crack at the tribunal. I wonder if the AwFL will go back and retrospectively give NN a couple of weeks each for the earlier indiscretions, and maybe 6 weeks for his assault on Sandi.
