What are the actual facts that are available? Guy, you have alluded to a six-figure sum - where has that information come from? I have read somewhere about a low, five-figure sum - but I have no way of knowing if that information is reliable or total speculation. The difference between the two is financially signicant; it also carries very different implications. A low, five-figure sum could, for example, simply be a quick and easy way to terminate the employment of someone who was not up to the task. We don't know, because we don't have the facts.
Maybe if the club decides to take steps to seek redress for the breach of the agreement that was struck we will have more facts. Until then, though, this discussion is bizarre - many people on here quite rightly point out that media opinion is often misinformed and always contrived. A significant number of those same people are, however, now telling me that I should believe what has been written or spoken about by the media? It is inconsistent.
By all means people should criticise the club for factual matters - team performance, the number of people who show up to games, the inability to formally introduce 'Alcock' in the club statement, etc - but I just find it odd that suddenly I should start listening to people who have always held the Fremantle Football Club in contempt.
