With his dodgy hamstrings and the ETAF's impressive capacity for inflicting calf strains...well he'd be on about $200k a game?

There's no way the slime would let a great servant of the club like Kennedy go. Besides they just recruited Waterman and Brandner as two key forwards.

Something is not quite right with this article. Are they trying to convince the Slime fans or are they trying to convince the Gov to stay.

McGovern will stay. Being a free agent he can talk to whoever and see how much others think he's worth. Then WC will pay overs for him to stay. Rather them than us.

We've a decent looking backline, it's goals we can't kick.

I thought he was a RFA, meaning Slime can match any offer put to him which is why he’s holding off. Either way we don’t need him. He’s brother isn’t lightning the world up at the Crows either. We might have dodged a bullet there too.

McGovern is in the box seat. It was a smart ploy by his manager. They'll trade Gaff for a draft pick to free up space to match any offer rather than lose him.

Freo can offer what they want to keep the other bastards honest. Unless dad says take the Freo offer, he's not going anywhere.

No way to McGovern, too expensive and not needed. We have more players than we can fit in our backline.

We lost the Derby because we didnt have any tall forward to make Hurn and McGovern accountable.
Tabs has suddenly become indispensable, who would have thought! We win that derby if Tabs had played, he would have marked or brought the ball to ground and McGovern would have had to cover him, sending Hurn to McCarthy.

Regarding Hogan, is he really that good? Ive been watching him and seriously not sure if hes even better than Tabs.
Not that I would knock him back if he wanted to come home for free but not give away the farm. Lets keep our first round draft pick and develop Hugh Dixon and co. Look at his highlights again, I think hes going to be even better than TAbs.

C’mon. Let’s get McGovern. You can just imagine the eGurls supporters becoming apoplectic and their faces turning purple. Surely that’s worth and extra $100-200K in his pocket?

His brother, who is no good either apparently starred today and kicked 5. When was the last time anyone kicked 5 in a game for us?

Let's be serious though, if either of them did come to Freo it wouldn't be for the sake of playing finals football.

Dead right CA!! ...and I wouldn't think there'd be too many champing at the bit to come and play our 'style' of footy.

Especially if you are a backman - why would you want that stress??

Then again...not sure many forwards would be licking there lips about having spend most of their game day in the backline either....

Rufus, if you watched the Melb v Sinners game today ou will know why we should chase Hogan.

He is a key forward with a massive tank who kicks goals but is also quite capable of running through the midfield.

He’s got all the footy traits of Pav - just bigger.

I’d pay $1.25M a year over 6 years for him in a heartbeat. Our backline is fine and our midfield is tracking ok but we desperately need a key forward - Hogan fills that gap.
