The season is not quite over , but if we humiliate ourselves tomorow those type of losses have a lingering affect on morale.
An honourable less than 40 point loss where we are able to counter punch and move the ball like an afl side will be something we can build on.
A 100 point flogging will be a disaster. Thank goodness mature heads prevailed to not play johnno and it is a shame to see a once great player being outpointed by a much lesser player. His selection last week was totally misplaced and cost us an opportunity. That’s not to say he did not have some touches last week , but it was more what he did not provide that hurt. Even at his best johnno was good for one absolute howler a game but he offered more.
Again another mismanaged decision by a club that still can’t get enough descions correct. However they are getting better and the recruiting this year and game style has certainly improved. There are definitely positives.
Just hard to stomach the insults from the west coasters as they embark on another year of success. They seem to make it look easy.
But it is really, recruit players other than midfielders, get good assistant coaches, retire your old players before they become too much of a liability.
Not that hard for some but for freo that complicate and overthink the basic of decisions it is.
