TOPIC: Nyhuis

I'd like to see Nyhuis get a game – now looks as good a time as any. Cox too soon. He's tallish and still young enough to improve significantly. North will be another sometime soon but maybe not yet. Ballas isn't offering near enough and wont get many more chances imo.

Nyhuis would be a good in for johnno. Nyhuis could support in the ruck against tigers' shorter back up ruck. And he would be very busy up forward and can switch to defence as well.

Don't reckon ross will drop Ballas...he kicked 2 goals Sunday. He didn't do much else but 2 goals will likely keep him in, rightly or wrongly. He probably won't drop Johnno either despite Sunday performance.

I appreciate where you are going Larkin but the problem is that being "tallish and still young enough" isn't enough for RoLy to make the change. RoLy has consistently said that he want to pick based on merit and performance at Peel. If Cox, Nyhuis and co are going to make it they have to put in some strong performances in the WAFL otherwise they are coming in as pretenders based on lack of options.

There other hope is that RoLy changes his stance and says that he will pick players who are "tallish and still young enough", which is a possibility.

I think Nyhuis is likely to be picked. Played forward and back for Peel last week. May have a role on Rance like he did on Tarrant in his debut against North last year.

I'm on Nyhuis, has a lot of upside, seems like an intelligent footballer and needs a good go at it to gain confidence. In personality type he reminds me of a young D. Mundy and there's a lot to like about him! An aside but nobody's mentioned tucker much after last weeks game, I thought he played really well and if my memory serves me right he kicked a couple of goals, one in particular a clever snap from the boundary. I thought he look very accomplished running through the middle and the forward line. What do others thinks?

Tucker seems polished at what he does and seems to use the ball well, but he has played quite a few games now and has had a good run but is not getting enough of it. He will need to address this sooner rather than later or I may start to lose my patience.

I’m still feeling the pain of last week’s loss because of Son Son, Mundy’s missed sitter, and Fyfe’s 2 goals blunder. And of course those maggots. Therefore unless MJ has no obvious matchup, he makes way for ??? Yep not sure.

...and we know what happens when DBTS loses his patience.
Think Tucker and Langdon as relatively outside newish inclusions are two good goal-kicking mids and runners. I too would like to see Tucker get more of the ball, but when he does get it he uses it cleanly and cleverly.
Langdon might be top 5 for the Doig at this stage of the season. Has set his goal as a one club player, and he is playing like he means that too. Very consistent.

Not at Optus' hard surface.

He'll crack his knee bones against the ground.

Tucker moves well and is quite skilful and a strong tackler. Might have to build up the mongrel component of his brain. But he may be prove to be the Mundy type who appears smooth and mellow but is a real animal in the contest. I hope David bears many sons...

Nyhuis on Rance. So you want to ease him in gently?
