Good summary and print media is about the only place you might hear commentary about the quality of umpiring. Televised footy all but refuses to talk about poor umpiring decisions because of pressure from the afl. It’s why you will see terrible decisions pass without a murmur during the game. I understand the afl position, no one wants to hear continual umpire bashing, but it has gone too far the other way. Some of the decisions are criminal, for all teams, and it passes in silence. I reckon the umpiring has been terrible this year across most games.
